Professional Profile
Mr. Adkins is a partner in Grant Thornton’s national tax office in Washington, D.C., and serves as the firm’s top technical resource with respect to the tax aspects of employee compensation and benefits. He has written extensively on compensation and benefits topics, including articles in the Daily Tax Report and Tax Notes. He has also written articles for journals such as the Compensation Planning Journal, The Tax Advisor, and The Journal of Taxation. He has been quoted in various newspapers across the country, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune and USA Today.
Professional Affiliations & Community Services
Mr. Adkins chairs the American Institute of CPAs employee benefits and compensation technical resource panel, as well as the national employee benefits conference. He is also a President of the Board of Trustees at Family Matters of Greater Washington, and is an active volunteer with the Washington Humane Society.
